Master Aldwin at UNC Chapel Hill's Forest Theatre on 3/25/01 - telling us how they do it in the West Kingdom.

House Bayard breaks for lunch  at our UNC Chapel Hill photo Shoot in March 2001.
It is with a heavy heart that I compile these words and images.  On Thursday evening shortly after 9:00 PM, our friend Aldwin Longwalker collapsed and died of a heart attack.  He passed quickly and in the company of some of his closest friends.
This man stirred admiration, affection, and amusement in all that he met.  He loved people, the pagentry, and chivalry of the Society for Creative Anachronism.  He loved Renaissance dance, books, confusing metaphysical discussions, bellringing, SCUBA diving, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and decadence (not necessarily in that order).  He was the greatest herald I've ever met.  He did everything with flair and grace.  And chuckling.  We are poorer for his passing, but richer for having had him as a friend.
